Portrait Session | Elevation Youth eGroup

I wear A LOT of hats and being a portrait photographer is just one of them. I love it when my “hats” intertwine and I get to do two of the things I love at the same time.

One of those other hats is working as a Youth Minister at Elevation Church here in Charlotte. I’ve been in youth ministry in some capacity for over 20 years and have been working in leadership at the Elevation Ballantyne campus for the past 4 years. It is truly a joy of my life to work with young people and share my God-given gifts and my life experiences to help them develop into influential members of society.

Elevation Youth ministry is all about eGroups - 8 to 10 young people and their eGroup Leader doing life together and growing in their Christian faith. The Elevation Youth Ministry has dozens of eGroups all over the city and serve as a Youth Coordinator giving care to the many eGroup leaders and their youth. Our eGroup leaders are amazing and one in particular, Angel Morris is one of my good friends in the ministry. I was so honored when she asked me to photograph her High School girls eGroup for a Christmas gift she was going to make for them.

We met up at the Elevation Ballantyne campus and had a quick but fun session. Angel’s girls were so much fun to work with and the weather that day was perfect for the occasion. Check out the rest of the images from that shoot.
